Matt’s Run is an annual Cal Poly Pomona 5K Run/Walk that celebrates the life of Matthew Myers, a young man who lost his life in an accident on campus in 2005. The university and surrounding communities help contribute to the Matthew Myers Memorial Fund. The fund helps award annual scholarships to Cal Poly Pomona Students determined to walk their course in the midst of difficulties.
Matt was an avid runner, and the run/walk in his honor is designed to bring the community together to keep his memory and passion alive.
